Diagnostic Test

CHECK CONNECTIONS ON THE ELECTRIC HAND BRAKE ENGAGEMENT BUTTON AND ABS CONTROL UNIT
1. Check for loose, damaged or corroded connections on the electric hand brake engagement button or on the ABS control unit.
  Are there any loose or damaged connections?
  
  Yes
  - Repair the wiring connections as necessary.
  No
  - Go to Step Refer to 2.
CHECK WIRING ON THE ELECTRIC HAND BRAKE ENGAGEMENT BUTTON AND ABS CONTROL UNIT
1. Check the wiring for an open circuit or high resistance on the electric hand brake engagement button and the ABS control unit.
  Is there a high resistance or open condition in the wiring?
  
  Yes
  - Repair the open circuit or high resistance in the wiring.
  No
  - Go to Step Refer to 3.
CHECK WIRING ON THE ELECTRIC HAND BRAKE ENGAGEMENT BUTTON AND ABS CONTROL UNIT
1. Check for wiring for a short circuit on the electric hand brake engagement button and the ABS control unit.
  Is there a short circuit in the wiring?
  
  Yes
  - Repair the short circuit in the wiring.
  No
  - Go to Step Refer to 4.
CHECK THE ELECTRIC HAND BRAKE ENGAGEMENT BUTTON OPERATION
1. Check that the button for engaging the electric handbrake is working properly.
  Is the button for engaging the electric handbrake operating properly?
  
  Yes
  - Go to Step Refer to 5.
  No
  - Replace the electric hand brake engagement button.
CHECK ABS CONTROL UNIT OPERATION
1. Check that the ABS control unit is working properly.
  Is the ABS control unit operating properly?
  
  Yes
  - End of diagnosis.
  No
  - Replace the ABS control unit.
