Theory Of Operation
The Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) Module receives signals from the Wheel Speed Sensors (WSS) of all four wheels. The wheel speed sensors convert the wheel speed into a signal, sent to ABS Module. A magnetic wheel (encoder) that is internal to the wheel bearing is used to trigger the measuring mechanism for each wheel. Each wheel has a wheel speed sensor and an encoder. There is no adjustment between the wheel speed sensor and the encoder.
