    3. With the scan tool, read the Amplifier (AMP) DTCs.

      Is the DTC active?

      Yes

      • Go To Step  2.

      No

  2. CHECK THE RIGHT FRONT TWEETER SPEAKER ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS
    1. Turn the ignition off.
    2. Check for loose, damaged or corroded connections on the Right Front Tweeter Speaker and on the AMP.

Is there a loose pin or poor connection present?

      Yes

      • Repair or replace the wiring connectors as necessary.

      No

      • Go to Step  3.
  3. CHECK THE (X208) AND (X298) RIGHT FRONT TWEETER SPEAKER CIRCUITS FOR AN OPEN OR HIGH RESISTANCE
    1. Measure the resistance of the (X208) Right Front Tweeter Speaker (+) circuit between the Speaker connector and the AMP harness connector.
    2. Measure the resistance of the (X298) Right Front Tweeter Speaker (-) circuit between the Speaker connector and the AMP harness connector.

Is the resistance above 3.0 ohms?

      Yes

      • Repair the Right Front Tweeter Speaker circuit(s) for an open or high resistance.

      No

      • Go to Step  4.
  4. CHECK THE RIGHT FRONT TWEETER SPEAKER
    1. Replace the Right Front Tweeter Speaker in accordance with Service Information. Refer to SPEAKER, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
    2. With the scan tool, erase the AMP DTCs.

      Did the DTC return?

      Yes

      • Go to Step  5.

      No

      • Test Complete.
  5. CHECK RELATED HARNESS CONNECTIONS
    1. Disconnect all AMP Module harness connectors.
    2. Disconnect all related in-line harness connections (if equipped).
    3. Disconnect the related component harness connectors.
    4. Inspect harness connectors, component connectors, and all male and female pins for the following conditions:
      • Proper connector installation.
      • Damaged connector locks.
      • Corrosion.
      • Other signs of water intrusion.
      • Weather seal damage (if equipped).
      • Bent pins.
      • Overheating due to a poor connection (pin may be discolored due to excessive current draw).
      • Terminals that have been pushed back into the connector cavity.
      • Perform a pin drag test on each connector pin to verify proper pin tension.

Repair any conditions that are found.

    5. Reconnect all AMP Module harness connectors. Be certain that all harness connectors are fully seated and the connector locks are fully engaged.
    6. Reconnect all in-line harness connectors (if equipped). Be certain that all connectors are fully seated and the connector locks are fully engaged.
    7. Reconnect all related component harness connectors. Be certain that all connectors are fully seated and the connector locks are fully engaged.
    8. With the scan tool, erase DTCs.
    9. Using the recorded Environmental Data, along with the When Monitored and Set Conditions above, operate the vehicle in the conditions that set the DTC.
    10. With the scan tool, read AMP Module DTCs.

      Did the DTC return?
