Removal And Installation: Installation

  1. Position the control head (2a) to the instrument panel and connect the control head wire harness connector (1).
  2. Align the four retainers (2b) of the control head (1b) with the instrument panel and press into place. Be certain all four retainers (2b) are fully engaged with the instrument panel.
  3. Connect the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), connect the IBS connector.
  4. Initiate the Actuator Calibration function using a scan tool

    Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .

    NOTE:

    If this Electronic Control Unit (ECU) is being replaced with a new unit, a diagnostic scan tool MUST be used to align the PROXI configuration data into the new ECU. Follow the routine outlined in the diagnostic scan tool for PROXI Configuration Alignment under Body Control Module (BCM) Miscellaneous Functions menu.
