NOTICE:  

When working with a vehicle equipped with the electronic air suspension, be sure to set it to the leveling off mode to prevent unexpected operation. Refer to the Electronic Air Suspension System Service Precautions - Refer to: Electronic Air Suspension System Connector Fitting Precautions or Electronic Air Suspension System Service Precautions for the procedure.

    • Wait at least 3 minutes after disconnecting the 12 volt battery terminal.

    NOTICE:  

    • Be careful not to bump (by impact wrench, hammer, etc.) the area around the SRS unit.

    Preconditions 

    • 12 Volt Battery Negative Terminal Disconnected - Refer to: 12 Volt Battery Terminal Disconnection and Reconnection (3.5L Engine) or 12 Volt Battery Terminal Disconnection and Reconnection (3.0L Engine)

    Sub-Procedure 

    Installation 

    NOTICE:  

    Before installing the center console, make sure the SRS indicator works normally.

    Tightening Procedure

    After Installation 

    • 12 Volt Battery Negative Terminal Reconnect - Refer to: 12 Volt Battery Terminal Disconnection and Reconnection (3.5L Engine) or 12 Volt Battery Terminal Disconnection and Reconnection (3.0L Engine)
    • ECU Key Write (When replacing the SRS unit)
    • SRS Unit Update (When replacing the SRS unit)
    • Yaw Rate-Acceleration Neutral Position Memorization (When replacing the SRS unit)
    • Front Passenger's Weight Sensor Initialization - Refer to: Front Passenger's Weight Sensor Output Check After a Vehicle Collision or Front Passenger's Weight Sensor Operation Check After Replacing Front Passenger's Seat Component(s) or Front Passenger's Weight Sensor Initialization (When replacing the SRS unit)
    • Turn the vehicle to the ON mode, and check that the SRS indicator comes on for about 6 seconds and then goes off.
