NOTICE: 

When working with a vehicle equipped with the electronic air suspension, be sure to set it to the leveling off mode to prevent unexpected operation. Refer to the Electronic Air Suspension System Service Precautions - Refer to: Electronic Air Suspension System Connector Fitting Precautions or Electronic Air Suspension System Service Precautions for the procedure.

   Key Information 

   Do the following before starting your work.

   Remove: 

   • Front Grille Cover - Refer to: Front Bumper Area (2025) or Front Bumper Area (2022 2023 2024)

   Specifications 

   Standard Value
   a	9-10 mm (0.35-0.39 in)

   After Installation 

   • If the idle speed fluctuates, do the idle speed inspection - Refer to: Idle Speed Inspection (3.0L Engine) or Idle Speed Inspection (3.5L Engine) .
   • Maintenance Minder Reset (With Maintenance Minder System)

     NOTE:  If the Maintenance Minder required to replace the air cleaner element, reset the Maintenance Minder with the gauge (see "Resetting the Maintenance Minder").

   After Installation 

   • 12 Volt Battery Negative Terminal Reconnect - Refer to: 12 Volt Battery Terminal Disconnection and Reconnection (3.5L Engine) or 12 Volt Battery Terminal Disconnection and Reconnection (3.0L Engine)

   Preconditions 

   • 12 Volt Battery Negative Terminal Disconnect - Refer to: 12 Volt Battery Terminal Disconnection and Reconnection (3.5L Engine) or 12 Volt Battery Terminal Disconnection and Reconnection (3.0L Engine)

     NOTE:  Wait at least 3 minutes, after disconnecting the 12 volt battery terminal.

   Removal 

   • Loosen the bolts (a).
   • Remove the following parts in the sequence listed below.
   • • Main fuse (b)
     • Multi fuse blocks (c)
     • Multi fuse blocks (d)

   After Installation 

   • 12 Volt Battery Negative Terminal Reconnect - Refer to: 12 Volt Battery Terminal Disconnection and Reconnection (3.5L Engine) or 12 Volt Battery Terminal Disconnection and Reconnection (3.0L Engine)
