NOTICE:
When working with a vehicle equipped with the electronic air suspension, be sure to set it to the leveling off mode to prevent unexpected operation. Refer to the Electronic Air Suspension System Service Precautions - Refer to: Electronic Air Suspension System Connector Fitting Precautions or Electronic Air Suspension System Service Precautions for the procedure.

Key Information
Do the following before starting your work.
Remove:
- Turbocharger Bracket B
- Upper Transmission Mount - Refer to: Transmission Area (3.5L Engine) or Transmission Area (3.0L Engine)

Preconditions
- 12 Volt Battery Negative Terminal Disconnect - Refer to: 12 Volt Battery Terminal Disconnection and Reconnection (3.5L Engine) or 12 Volt Battery Terminal Disconnection and Reconnection (3.0L Engine)

Installation
NOTICE:
Make sure the crimped side of the ring terminal faces away from the starter when you connect the positive starter cable.
After Installation
- 12 Volt Battery Negative Terminal Reconnect - Refer to: 12 Volt Battery Terminal Disconnection and Reconnection (3.5L Engine) or 12 Volt Battery Terminal Disconnection and Reconnection (3.0L Engine)
Procedure After Replacing Starter
1. Replace the relay circuit board - Refer to: Air Cleaner Area (3.0L Engine) or Air Cleaner Area (3.5L Engine) .
2. Connect the HDS to the DLC .
3. Select the following menu buttons on the HDS screen in sequence.
- PGM-FI (System Selection Menu)
- Adjustment
- IDLE STOP STARTER COUNTER CLEAR
