How to use this service information .
NOTICE:
When working with a vehicle equipped with the electronic air suspension, be sure to set it to the leveling off mode to prevent unexpected operation. Refer to the Electronic Air Suspension System Service Precautions - Refer to: Electronic Air Suspension System Connector Fitting Precautions or Electronic Air Suspension System Service Precautions for the procedure.

Preconditions
- The vehicle is in the OFF (LOCK) mode.
Sub-Procedure
NOTICE:
- With the driver's door open, turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode, then wait at least 3 minutes before disconnecting the 12 volt negative battery cable.
- When disconnecting the 12 volt battery terminal, always disconnect the negative side first.
- When connecting the 12 volt battery terminal, always connect the positive side first.
- If the 12 volt battery performs abnormally, test the 12 volt battery - Refer to: 12 Volt Battery Test (3.5L Engine) or 12 Volt Battery Internal Resistance Reset or 12 Volt Battery Test (3.0L Engine) .

Key Information
Do the following before starting your work.
Remove:
- D.-WARNING:
- Use of a battery not designed for this vehicle could cause a hydrogen gas leak inside the vehicle, resulting in a fire or explosion that may cause injury or death.
- Only install a 12 volt AGM battery designed for use in this vehicle.
NOTICE:
- Strong impacts (i.e., dropping the 12 volt battery, collision damage) may cause electrolyte leaks, internal short circuit and heat increase resulting in fire. Avoid impacts to the 12 volt battery.
- Organic electrolyte is poisonous. If ingested, get medical attention immediately.
- 12 volt battery damage may cause flammable gas or electrolyte leaks and may result in fire. Do not damage the 12 volt battery and keep sparks, flame, and cigarettes away.
- When replacing the 12 volt battery, replace it with an AGM (absorbed glass mat) battery type, and must be of the same specifications.

- After placing the 12 volt battery (a) on the floor (b), press it against the 12 volt battery side bracket (c).
After Installation
NOTICE:
Make sure the 12 volt battery vent tube is installed to the 12 volt battery and floor securely.
- 12 Volt Battery Negative Terminal Reconnect - Refer to: 12 Volt Battery Terminal Disconnection and Reconnection (3.5L Engine) or 12 Volt Battery Terminal Disconnection and Reconnection (3.0L Engine)
- If you are replacing the 12 volt battery, do the following.
