WARNING:

- Wait at least 3 minutes after disconnecting the 12 volt battery terminal.
NOTICE:
- If you are replacing the front impact sensor after a deployment, refer to Component Replacement/Inspection After Deployment - Refer to: SRS Component Replacement/Inspection After Deployment or Airbag and Tensioner Disposal for a complete list of other parts that must also be replaced.
- Be careful not to bump (by impact wrench, hammer, etc.) the area around the front impact sensor.
Preconditions
- 12 Volt Battery Negative Terminal Disconnected - Refer to: 12 Volt Battery Terminal Disconnection and Reconnection (3.5L Engine) or 12 Volt Battery Terminal Disconnection and Reconnection (3.0L Engine)

NOTICE:
Before installing the front bumper, make sure the SRS indicator works normally.
After Installation
- 12 Volt Battery Negative Terminal Reconnect - Refer to: 12 Volt Battery Terminal Disconnection and Reconnection (3.5L Engine) or 12 Volt Battery Terminal Disconnection and Reconnection (3.0L Engine)
- Turn the vehicle to the ON mode, and check that the SRS indicator comes on for about 6 seconds and then goes off.
