When working with a vehicle equipped with the electronic air suspension, be sure to set it to the leveling off mode to prevent unexpected operation.     • With Integrated Driver Support System (Camera and Five Radars):

      NOTE:  The millimeter wave radar (front center radar and front corner radar) aiming is not required if the front bumper is removed and installed without replacement and/or partial repair.

    • • Refer to the appropriate Millimeter Wave Radar article (When replacing the front bumper)
      • Static Inspection For Radar Sensor Visibility (Front Corner Radar) (When replacing and/or repairing the front bumper)
      • Refer to the appropriate Millimeter Wave Radar article (When replacing the front bumper)
    • With Multi View Camera System (MVCS):

      NOTE:  The multi view front camera aiming is required if the front bumper is removed and installed, or adjusted.

    WARNING:

    • Wait at least 3 minutes after disconnecting the 12 volt battery terminal.

    NOTICE: 

    • If you are replacing the front impact sensor after a deployment, refer to Component Replacement/Inspection After Deployment - Refer to: SRS Component Replacement/Inspection After Deployment or Airbag and Tensioner Disposal for a complete list of other parts that must also be replaced.
    • Be careful not to bump (by impact wrench, hammer, etc.) the area around the front impact sensor.

    Preconditions 

    • 12 Volt Battery Negative Terminal Disconnected - Refer to: 12 Volt Battery Terminal Disconnection and Reconnection (3.5L Engine) or 12 Volt Battery Terminal Disconnection and Reconnection (3.0L Engine)

    Sub-Procedure 

    Installation 

    NOTICE: 

    Before installing the front bumper, make sure the SRS indicator works normally.

    After Installation 

    • 12 Volt Battery Negative Terminal Reconnect - Refer to: 12 Volt Battery Terminal Disconnection and Reconnection (3.5L Engine) or 12 Volt Battery Terminal Disconnection and Reconnection (3.0L Engine)
    • Turn the vehicle to the ON mode, and check that the SRS indicator comes on for about 6 seconds and then goes off.
