How to Connect the HDS
NOTICE:
When working with a vehicle equipped with the electronic air suspension, be sure to set it to the leveling off mode to prevent unexpected operation. Refer to the Electronic Air Suspension System Service Precautions - Refer to: Electronic Air Suspension System Connector Fitting Precautions or Electronic Air Suspension System Service Precautions for the procedure.
1. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.
2. Connect the HDS to the DLC (a) located under the driver's side of the dashboard.
3. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode, but do not start the engine.
4. Activate the HDS, then make sure the HDS communicates with the PCM and other vehicle systems. If it doesn't, go to the symptom troubleshooting - Refer to appropriate service information.
