Sub-Procedure
■ Removal
NOTE:Due to the high temperatures of the exhaust system, the exhaust nuts, studs, and bolts may seize preventing easy removal. If you encounter a seized condition, do the following.
- Apply rust penetrant to the nut/stud or bolt.
- Allow the penetrant to sit. The amount of time may vary.
- Lightly tap the nut/stud or bolt with a hammer.
- Slowly loosen the nut or bolt.
- If the nut or bolt still will not loosen, repeat steps 1 to 4.
■ Installation
- Installing the three way catalytic converter and the converter brackets in the following procedures.

Sub-Procedure
■ Installation
1. Tighten the bolt (a) and the bolt (b) until the oil feed pipe sits on the turbocharger and the engine block.
Lubricant Specifications
Position Type b Threads Engine Oil Flange 2. Tighten the bolt (a) to the specified torque.
3. Set the washer portion (c) to the direction (d).
4. Tighten the bolt (b) to the specified torque.
5. Make sure the washer is positioned within area (e) as shown.
