   Sub-Procedure 

   ■ Removal 

   NOTE:

   Due to the high temperatures of the exhaust system, the exhaust nuts, studs, and bolts may seize preventing easy removal. If you encounter a seized condition, do the following.

   • Apply rust penetrant to the nut/stud or bolt.
   • Allow the penetrant to sit. The amount of time may vary.
   • Lightly tap the nut/stud or bolt with a hammer.
   • Slowly loosen the nut or bolt.
   • If the nut or bolt still will not loosen, repeat steps 1 to 4.

   ■ Installation 

   • Installing the three way catalytic converter and the converter brackets in the following procedures.

   Tightening Procedure

   ■ Installation 

   1. Tighten the bolt (a) and the bolt (b) until the oil feed pipe sits on the turbocharger and the engine block.

   Lubricant Specifications 

   Position		Type

   2. Tighten the bolt (a) to the specified torque.

   3. Set the washer portion (c) to the direction (d).

   4. Tighten the bolt (b) to the specified torque.

   5. Make sure the washer is positioned within area (e) as shown.

   • Engine Coolant Drained - Refer to: Coolant Replacement (2.0L Engine) (2024 2025) or Coolant Check (2.0L Engine) (2024 2025) or Coolant Check (1.5L Engine) or Coolant Replacement (1.5L Engine)

   NOTE:

   For the removal and installation procedure, refer to Turbocharger Removal and Installation - Refer to: Turbocharger Removal and Installation (1.5L Engine) or Turbocharger Removal and Installation (2.0L Engine) (2024 2025) and the sub-procedure below.

   Sub-Procedure 

   NOTICE: 

   Hold the turbocharger at an area other than the turbocharger wastegate control actuator (a).

   ■ Installation 

   • Installing the turbocharger and the turbocharger bracket in the following procedures.

   • PCM Reset - Refer to: PCM Reset or PCM Update (When replacing the turbocharger)
   • PCM Idle Learn (When replacing the turbocharger)
