Automatic Short Circuit Mechanism of SRS Unit Connectors: Notes
When the SRS unit connectors are disconnected from the SRS unit, the equipped automatic short-circuit mechanism creates a short circuit in the airbags, seat belt pretensioners, and side airbags for both the driver and passenger, as well as in the right and left side curtain airbags.
By short-circuiting the circuits for the various inflators, the accidental deployment by the inflator is prevented.
