SRS System Description - Occupant Position Detection System (OPDS) Unit
OPDS sensor detects riding posture of the occupant. OPDS unit determines deployment or stops the deployment of the front passenger's airbag and transmits the signal to the SRS unit. The SRS unit stops the activation of the side airbag as well as illuminates the side airbag cutoff indicator in the gauge control module to inform of a stop condition of the front passenger's airbag.
