SRS System Description - Front Passenger's Seat Sitting Switch
The front passenger's seat sitting switch is located in the front passenger's seat cushion, and turns on when a load is applied to the front passenger's seat. The SRS unit monitors the state of the front passenger's seat sitting switch and judges that the front passenger's seat is occupied when the switch is on. Also, the SRS unit turns on the front seat belt reminder indicator when the front passenger's seat sitting switch is on, but the front seat belt is not buckled.
