SRS Unit: Removal

SRS components are located in this area. Review the SRS component locations and the precautions and procedures before doing repairs or service.

1. Battery Terminal - Disconnect

   1. Do the battery terminal disconnection procedure , then wait at least 3 minutes before starting work.

2. Center Console - Remove

   1. Remove the center console .

3. SRS Unit - Remove

   1. Turn over the carpet (C), disconnect SRS unit connectors A and B.   NOTE: The SRS unit connectors have lever locks. Release the locks before disconnecting the connectors . 2. Remove the bracket (D), then turn over the carpet to gain access to the TORX bolt that hold the SRS unit (E).

   3. Remove the TORX bolt (A) from left side using a TORX T30 bit.

   4. Remove the TORX bolts (A) from right side using a TORX T30 bit, then remove the SRS unit (B).
