SRS Unit: Installation

SRS components are located in this area. Review the SRS component locations and the precautions and procedures before doing repairs or service.

1. SRS Unit - Install

   1. Install the SRS unit (A) with the new TORX bolts (B) using a TORX T30 bit.

   2. Install the new TORX bolt (A) using a TORX T30 bit.

   3. Connect the SRS connectors A and B; push them into position until they click . 4. Install the carpet (C), and install the bracket (D).

2. Center Console - Install

   1. Install the center console .

3. Battery Terminal - Connect

   1. Do the battery terminal reconnection procedure .

4. SRS Unit - Update

   1. Make sure the SRS unit has the latest software. If it does not have the latest, update the software in the SRS unit .

5. SRS Operation - Confirm

   1. Press the engine start/stop button to select the ON mode, and check that the SRS indicator comes on for about 6 seconds and then goes off.
