ODS Unit (KA, Kc Models): Removal

SRS components are located in this area. Review the SRS component locations and the precautions and procedures before doing repairs or service.

1. Battery Terminal - Disconnect

   1. Do the battery terminal disconnection procedure , then wait at least 3 minutes before starting work.

2. Front Passenger's Seat - Remove

   1. Remove the front passenger's seat .

3. Elastic Strap - Release

   1. From under the front passenger's seat cushion, release the elastic strap from the seat cushion frame springs .

4. Front Passenger's Seat-Back Cover - Unzip

   1. Release the bottom hooks, and unzip the seat-back cover .

5. Front Passenger's Seat-Back Cover/Pad - Turn over

   1. Turn over the seat-back cover/pad to gain access to the ODS unit .

6. ODS unit - Remove

   1. Remove the cover (A).

   2. Remove the clips (A). 3. Disconnect the ODS unit connector (B) and the OPDS sensor connectors (C). 4. Remove the mounting nuts (D), then remove the ODS unit (E).
