Front Passenger's Weight Sensor: Removal

SRS components are located in this area. Review the SRS component locations and the precautions and procedures before doing repairs or service.

1. Battery Terminal - Disconnect

   1. Do the battery terminal disconnection procedure , then wait at least 3 minutes before starting work.

2. Front Passenger's Seat - Remove

   1. Remove the front passenger's seat .

3. Front Seat-Back Cover/Pad - Remove

   1. Remove the front seat-back cover/pad .

4. Front Seat Cushion Cover/Pad - Remove

   1. Remove the front seat cushion cover/pad .

5. Front Seat Recline Inner Cover/Center Inner Cover - Remove

   1. Remove the recline inner cover and the center inner cover from the seat frame .

6. Front Passenger's Seat Belt Buckle - Remove

   1. Remove the front passenger's seat belt buckle .

7. Front Passenger's Weight Sensor Connector - Disconnect

   1. Disconnect the front passenger's weight sensor connectors (A) on the front passenger's seat wire harness. 2. Remove the clips (B). 3. With seat cushion heater: Remove the clips (C).

8. Front Passenger's Seat Rail/Front Passenger's Weight Sensors - Remove

   1. Remove the bolts (A). 2. Release the seat cushion springs (B) from the hooks (C), then remove the seat cushion frame (D).

   3. Remove the TORX nuts (A) using a TORX E18 socket, then remove the front passenger's seat rail/front passenger's weight sensors as an assembly (B).
