DTC B2637-11 : Short to Ground in The Sensor Power Supply Line
NOTE: If you are troubleshooting multiple DTCs, be sure to follow the instructions in B-CAN System Diagnosis Test Mode A .

DTC (Parking and Back-Up Sensor Control Unit)
- Problem verification
-1. Clear the DTCs with the HDS.
-2. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode and then the ON mode.
-3. Check for DTCs with the HDS.
DTC Description DTC B2637-11 Short to Ground in The Sensor Power Supply Line Is DTC B2637-11 indicated?
YES
Go to step 2.
NO
Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. Check for loose or poor connections.
- Determine possible failure area (BOF SIDE L line to ground, others)
-1. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.
-2. Disconnect the following connector.
Parking and back-up sensor control unit 24P connector -3. Check for continuity between test points 1 and 2.
Test condition Vehicle OFF (LOCK) mode
Parking and back-up sensor control unit 24P connector: disconnectedTest point 1 Parking and back-up sensor control unit 24P connector No. 2 Test point 2 Body ground Is there continuity?
YES
Go to step 4.
NO
The BOF SIDE L wires are OK. Go to step 3.
- Determine possible failure area (BOR SIDE L line to ground, parking and back-up sensor control unit)
-1. Check for continuity between test points 1 and 2.
Test condition Vehicle OFF (LOCK) mode
Parking and back-up sensor control unit 24P connector: disconnectedTest point 1 Parking and back-up sensor control unit 24P connector No. 14 Test point 2 Body ground Is there continuity?
YES
Go to step 8.
NO
- Determine possible failure area (Left front corner sensor, others)
-1. Disconnect the following connector.
Left front corner sensor 3P connector -2. Check for continuity between test points 1 and 2.
Test condition Vehicle OFF (LOCK) mode
Parking and back-up sensor control unit 24P connector: disconnected
Left front corner sensor 3P connector: disconnectedTest point 1 Parking and back-up sensor control unit 24P connector No. 2 Test point 2 Body ground Is there continuity?
YES
Go to step 5.
NO
- Determine possible failure area (Right front corner sensor, others)
-1. Disconnect the following connector.
Right front corner sensor 3P connector -2. Check for continuity between test points 1 and 2.
Test condition Vehicle OFF (LOCK) mode
Parking and back-up sensor control unit 24P connector: disconnected
Right front corner sensor 3P connector: disconnectedTest point 1 Parking and back-up sensor control unit 24P connector No. 2 Test point 2 Body ground Is there continuity?
YES
Repair a short to ground in the BOF SIDE L wires.
YES
Go to step 6.
NO
- Determine possible failure area (Left front center sensor, others)
-1. Disconnect the following connector.
Left front center sensor 3P connector -2. Check for continuity between test points 1 and 2.
Test condition Vehicle OFF (LOCK) mode
Parking and back-up sensor control unit 24P connector: disconnected
Left front center sensor 3P connector: disconnectedTest point 1 Parking and back-up sensor control unit 24P connector No. 2 Test point 2 Body ground Is there continuity?
YES
Go to step 7.
NO
- Shorted wire check (BOF SIDE L line)
-1. Disconnect the following connector.
Right front center sensor 3P connector -2. Check for continuity between test points 1 and 2.
Test condition Vehicle OFF (LOCK) mode
Parking and back-up sensor control unit 24P connector: disconnected
Right front center sensor 3P connector: disconnectedTest point 1 Parking and back-up sensor control unit 24P connector No. 2 Test point 2 Body ground Is there continuity?
YES
Repair a short to ground in the BOF SIDE L wire.
NO
- Determine possible failure area (Left rear corner sensor, others)
-1. Disconnect the following connector.
Left rear corner sensor 3P connector -2. Check for continuity between test points 1 and 2.
Test condition Vehicle OFF (LOCK) mode
Parking and back-up sensor control unit 24P connector: disconnected
Left rear corner sensor 3P connector: disconnectedTest point 1 Parking and back-up sensor control unit 24P connector No. 14 Test point 2 Body ground Is there continuity?
YES
Go to step 9.
NO
- Determine possible failure area (Left rear center sensor, others)
-1. Disconnect the following connector.
Left rear center sensor 3P connector -2. Check for continuity between test points 1 and 2.
Test condition Vehicle OFF (LOCK) mode
Parking and back-up sensor control unit 24P connector: disconnected
Left rear center sensor 3P connector: disconnectedTest point 1 Parking and back-up sensor control unit 24P connector No. 14 Test point 2 Body ground Is there continuity?
YES
Go to step 10.
NO
- Determine possible failure area (Right rear center sensor, others)
-1. Disconnect the following connector.
Right rear center sensor 3P connector -2. Check for continuity between test points 1 and 2.
Test condition Vehicle OFF (LOCK) mode
Parking and back-up sensor control unit 24P connector: disconnected
Right rear center sensor 3P connector: disconnectedTest point 1 Parking and back-up sensor control unit 24P connector No. 14 Test point 2 Body ground Is there continuity?
YES
Go to step 11.
NO
- Shorted wire check (BOR SIDE L line)
-1. Disconnect the following connector.
Right rear corner sensor 3P connector -2. Check for continuity between test points 1 and 2.
Test condition Vehicle OFF (LOCK) mode
Parking and back-up sensor control unit 24P connector: disconnected
Right rear corner sensor 3P connector: disconnectedTest point 1 Parking and back-up sensor control unit 24P connector No. 14 Test point 2 Body ground Is there continuity?
YES
Repair a short to ground in the BOR SIDE L wires.
NO
