Brake Master Cylinder (2013 2014 2015): Installation
NOTICE:
Do not spill brake fluid on the vehicle; it may damage the paint. If brake fluid does contact the paint, wash it off immediately with water.
- Master Cylinder - Install
1. Install the new O-ring (A) to the master cylinder (B). NOTE:
- Coat the new O-ring with silicone grease (Shin-Etsu G40M).
- Make sure not to get any silicone grease on the terminal part of the connectors and switches, especially if you have silicone grease on your hands or gloves.
2. Install the master cylinder to the brake booster (C).
NOTE:
- Be careful not to bend or damage the brake lines.
- Be careful not to damage the piston surface.
3. Connect the brake lines (D) to the master cylinder.
- Master Cylinder Reservoir Tank - Install
1. Install the master cylinder reservoir tank (A) to the bracket. 2. Connect the brake fluid level switch connector (B).
- Air Cleaner - Install
1. Install the air cleaner . - Brake System - Bleed
1. Bleed the brake system . - Brake Pedal Height and Free Play - Check
1. Check the brake pedal height and free play . - Brake Drag - Check
1. Spin the wheels to check for brake drag.
