Driver's Power Seat Motor (2013 2014 2015): Test
SRS components are located in this area. Review the SRS component locations and the precautions and procedures before doing repairs or service.
- Front Seat Belt Lower Anchor Bolt - Remove
1. Remove the driver's seat belt lower anchor bolt . - Driver's Seat Recline Cover - Remove
1. Remove the driver's seat recline cover .
NOTE: If removing the driver's seat recline cover, you do not need to remove the driver's seat. - Driver's Power Seat Motor - Test
1. Disconnect the driver's power seat adjustment switch connector (A). 2. Test the motor by applying power and ground at the driver's power seat adjustment switch connector on the seat harness according to the table. When the motor stops running, disconnect battery power immediately.
3. If the motor does not run or fails to run smoothly, remove the driver's seat , go to step 4.
4. Turn over the driver's seat-back cover as needed . 5. Disconnect these connectors:
- Front up-down motor connector
- Rear up-down motor connector
- Recline motor connector
- Slide motor connector
NOTE: All connectors shown are the terminal side of male terminals.6. Test each motor in each direction by connecting power and ground according to the table. When the motor stops running, disconnect battery power immediately. 7. If the motor does not run or fails to run smoothly, replace:
NOTE: The front and rear up/down motor, and recline motors are part of the seat frame.If motors run smoothly, replace the driver's seat wire harness.
8. Connect these connectors:
- Driver's power seat adjustment switch connector
- Front up-down motor connector
- Rear up-down motor connector
- Recline motor connector
- Slide motor connector
- Driver's Seat Recline Cover - Install
1. Install the driver's seat recline cover . - Front Seat-Back Cover - Install
1. Install the driver's seat-back cover .
