Bluetooth audio does not work
NOTE:
- Check the vehicle battery condition first .
- Before you troubleshoot, make sure to follow the General Troubleshooting Information .
- Check any official Honda service website for more service information about the HFL system.
- Make sure the client's cell phone with Bluetooth is Acura approved and configured correctly.
- You must be able to duplicate the client's concern to successfully diagnose the problem. If you cannot duplicate the issue, have the client demonstrate it.
- Once the symptom is duplicated, contact the HFL Customer Service. Many HFL issues are related to the cell phone and not the HFL system.
- See if you can duplicate the symptom in a known-good vehicle under the same conditions. If you can, it is probably a characteristic of the system.
- Always use the client's cell phone to successfully diagnose the problem.
- Make sure that the cell phone's bluetooth volume setting is set to max.
- Pairing check
-1. Pair an approved known-good cell phone with Bluetooth audio to the vehicle.
Can you pair an approved cell phone with Bluetooth audio?
YES
Go to step 2.
NO
Go to Bluetooth cell phone cannot be paired troubleshooting .
- Problem verification
-1. Check if the cell phone with Bluetooth audio can be played.
Does the Bluetooth audio play?
YES
Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time, or there could be an issue with the client's cell phone with Bluetooth audio. Recommend your client contact the HFL Customer Service at 888-528-7876 to discuss approved phones and configuration issues.
NO: With AcuraLink
Replace the telematics control unit .
NO: Without AcuraLink
