   Removal/Installation

3. C.-

   Key Information 

   Do the following before starting your work.

   Remove: 

   • Engine Undercover
   • Air Flow Tube B - Refer to: Air Cleaner Area(2.0L Engine)

     NOTE:  If using the break head band, do not remove it.

   • Exhaust Pipe A

   Sub-Procedure 

   Removal 

   NOTE:  Due to the high temperatures of the exhaust system, the exhaust nuts, studs, and bolts may seize preventing easy removal. If you encounter a seized condition, do the following.

   1. Apply rust penetrant to the nut/stud or bolt.

   2. Allow the penetrant to sit. The amount of time may vary.

   3. Lightly tap the nut/stud or bolt with a hammer.

   4. Slowly loosen the nut or bolt.

   5. If the nut or bolt still will not loosen, repeat steps 1 to 4.

   Installation 

   Tightening Procedure 

   Step	Operation	Object	Specification
   1	Temporarily Tighten	All bolts	-> -> -> ->
   2	Tighten	All bolts	-> -> -> ->

   Installation 

   1. Tighten the bolt (a) and the bolt (b) until the oil feed pipe sits on the turbocharger and the engine block.

   Lubricant Specifications 

   Position		Type
   b	Threads of Bolt	Engine Oil
   	Flange of Bolt

   2. Tighten the bolt (a) to the specified torque.

   3. Set the washer portion (c) to the direction (d).

   4. Tighten the bolt (b) to the specified torque.

   5. Make sure the washer is positioned within area (e) as shown.

5. E.-

   Preconditions 

   • Engine Coolant Drained - Refer to: Coolant Replacement(2.0L Engine)

   Key Information 

   NOTE:  For the removal and installation procedure, refer to Turbocharger Removal and Installation - Refer to: Turbocharger Removal and Installation(2.0L Engine) and the sub-procedure below.

   Sub-Procedure 

   NOTE:

   Hold the turbocharger at an area other than the turbocharger wastegate control actuator (a).

   Installation 

   • Tighten the bolts and nuts in the numbered sequence shown.

   After Installation 

   • Engine Oil Level Check - Refer to: Engine Oil Level Check
   • Engine Coolant Refill - Refer to: Coolant Check(2.0L Engine) or Coolant Replacement(2.0L Engine)
   • PCM Reset - Refer to: PCM Reset (When replacing the turbocharger)
   • PCM Idle Learn (When replacing the turbocharger)
