Front Passenger's Airbag Active Vent Tether Cutter Inspection

NOTE:

Before disconnecting the SRS related connector, do the 12 volt battery terminal disconnection procedure and wait for at least 3 minutes.
Since there is no direct method to test the component itself, troubleshooting is performed on the related components.

Test Procedure

Front passenger's airbag active vent tether cutter circuit inspection

Preparation
- Front passenger's airbag active vent tether cutter 2P connector: disconnected

Procedure

Connect the terminals of SRS simulator lead L to the SRS inflator simulator (2 Ω connectors), then connect SRS simulator lead L to the front passenger's airbag active vent tether cutter 2P connector on the dashboard wire harness.

Perform the confirmation procedure.

Normal Conditions
- DTC B0012-13 is not indicated.

Results

If it is normal, there is a problem with the front passenger's airbag active vent tether cutter.
If it is abnormal, there is a problem with the related components.
