Gauges Symptom Troubleshooting - Integrated Dynamics System Mode Does Not Change: Inspection
Signal (IDS_LEFT), Signal (IDS_RIGHT), GND (GND) Circuit Inspection
Test Procedure
- Preparation
- Gauge control module connector A (32P): disconnected
- Integrated dynamics system switch 12P connector: disconnected
- Procedure
- Perform the inspection according to the following table.

NOTE:

for the method to inspect the shorted circuit below, then start to inspect according to circumstances.

Results
- If abnormal, there is a problem in the circuit.
Integrated Dynamics System Switch Inspection
NOTE:
Since there is no direct method to test the inspection item, troubleshooting is performed using a known-good component.
Test Procedure
- Install a known-good integrated dynamics system switch and attempt to reproduce the failure.
Results
- If the failure is reproduced, there is a problem with the related components.
- If the symptom/DTC goes away, the integrated dynamics system switch must be faulty.
Gauge Control Module Inspection
Test Procedure
- If the other inspection item(s) indicated a normal condition, then it is determined that the remaining gauge control module is the cause.
Results
- There is a problem with the gauge control module.
