Resetting the Parking and Back-Up Sensor Control Unit (2019, 2020, 2021): Procedure

How to use this Service Information .

Reset the parking and back-up sensor control unit after doing any of the following actions:

• When you replace the parking and back-up sensor.
• When you change the parking and back-up sensor mounting location from the original location.

1. Parking and Back-Up Sensor Control Unit - Reset

   ■ Preconditions 

   • Parking and Back-Up Sensor Connector Connected
     • Front Corner/Center Sensors
     • Rear Corner/Center Sensors

   ■ Procedure 

   1. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.

   2. Press the parking and back-up sensor switch 10 times, within 10 seconds.

   NOTE: The parking and back-up sensor switch indicator will blink.

   3. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.

   4. Press and hold the parking and back-up sensor switch.

   5. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.

   6. Wait about 10 seconds.

   NOTE: If the resetting procedure is successful, the parking and back-up sensor buzzer will sound for 2 seconds.
