Removal and Installation
NOTE:
SRS components are located in this area. Review the SRS component locations
and the precautions and procedures
before doing repairs or service.
- Battery Terminal - DisconnectNOTE: Wait at least 3 minutes before starting work.
- Front Seat - Remove
- Front Seat Belt Lower Anchor Connector (Driver's Side) - Remove
1. Slowly insert the seat belt disassembly tool plate (A) into holes (B) in the back of the lap connector cover (C). NOTE: Make sure the seat belt disassembly tool plate is perpendicular to the lap connector cover.2. With the seat belt disassembly tool plate (A) still inserted in the lap connector cover (B), carefully insert the seat belt disassembly tool pin into the hole (C) in the lap connector cover, and unlock the lap connector by pushing in on the pin. 3. While pulling the front seat belt (A) upward, remove the seat belt disassembly tool pin (B). As soon as you remove the pin from the lap connector (C), the anchor connector (D) will come off the lap connector. - B-Pillar Upper/Lower Trim - Remove
- Front Seat Belt Upper Anchor Bolt - Remove
- Front Seat Belt Outer Lap Tensioner - Remove

1. Disconnect the connector (A). 2. Remove the front seat belt outer lap tensioner (B).
- Front Seat Belt Assembly - Remove

1. Disconnect the connector(s) (A). 2. Remove the seat belt assembly (B).
- All Removed Parts - Install
1. Install the parts reverse order of removal. NOTE: Assemble the bushing (A), the collar (B), and the toothed lock washer (C) on the upper anchor bolt (D) as shown.
