DTC B1175 : Fuel Level Sensor (Fuel Gauge Sending Unit) Circuit Malfunction
NOTE: If you are troubleshooting multiple DTCs, be sure to follow the instructions in B-CAN System Diagnosis Test Mode A .

DTC (Gauge Control Module)
- Problem verification
-1. Clear the DTCs with the HDS.
-2. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.
-3. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode, and wait more than 30 seconds.
-4. Check for DTCs with the HDS.
DTC Description DTC B1175 Fuel Level Sensor (Fuel Gauge Sending Unit) Circuit Malfunction Is DTC B1175 indicated?
YES:'16-19
Go to step 2.
YES:'20-21
Go to step 3.
NO
Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. Check for loose or poor connections.
- Open wire check (FUEL GAUGE+, FUEL GAUGE- line)
-1. Press the engine start/stop button to select the OFF mode.
-2. Disconnect the following connectors.
Gauge control module 32P connectorFuel gauge sending unit 4P connector -3. Check for continuity between test points 1 and 2.
Without color multi-information display (MID)

YES
The FUEL GAUGE+ and FUEL GAUGE- wires are OK. Go to step 4.
NO
Repair an open or high resistance in the wire.
- Open wire check (FUEL GAUGE+, FUEL GAUGE- line)
-1. Press the engine start/stop button to select the OFF mode.
-2. Disconnect the following connectors.
Gauge control module 32P connectorFuel gauge sending unit 4P connector -3. Check for continuity between test points 1 and 2.

The FUEL GAUGE+ and FUEL GAUGE- wires are OK. Go to step 4.
NO
Repair an open or high resistance in the wire.
- Fuel gauge sending unit check
-1. Test the fuel gauge sending unit .
Is the fuel gauge sending unit OK?
YES
Replace the gauge control module .
NO
