DTC P0976, P0977 (A/T)

DTC P0976 : Shift Solenoid Valve B Circuit Low DTC P0977 : Shift Solenoid Valve B Circuit High

DTC (A/T)

Problem verification

-1. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.

-2. Clear the DTC with the HDS.

-3. Test-drive under these conditions:

DTC	Test Condition
P0976	Start the engine. While pressing the brake pedal, shift the transmission to R position/mode.
P0977	Start the engine. While pressing the brake pedal, shift the transmission to D position/mode.

-4. Check for Pending or Confirmed DTCs with the HDS.

Is DTC P0976 or P0977 indicated?

YES

The failure is duplicated. Check for any authorized service information related to the DTCs or symptoms you are troubleshooting, or substitute a known-good TCM , then recheck. If this DTC goes away and the TCM was substituted, replace the original TCM .

Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. Check for poor connections and loose terminals between shift solenoid valve B and the TCM. If the freeze data/on-board snapshot of this DTC is recorded, try to reproduce the failure under the same conditions with the freeze data/on-board snapshot.
