P07B2, P1716 (A/T)

DTC P07B2  : Parking Actuator Valve Stroke Sensor A/B Short

DTC P1716  : Parking Actuator Valve Stroke Sensor A/B Short

NOTE:  Before you troubleshoot, review the General Troubleshooting Information .

DTC (A/T)

  1. Problem verification

    -1. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.

    -2. Clear the DTC with the HDS.

    -3. Start the engine.

    -4. While pressing the brake pedal, shift the transmission to D position/mode, and wait for at least 5 seconds.

    -5. Check for Pending or Confirmed DTCs with the HDS.

    Is DTC P07B2 or P1716 indicated?

    YES 

    The failure is duplicated. Check for any authorized service information related to the DTCs or symptoms you are troubleshooting, or substitute a known-good TCM , then recheck. If this DTC goes away and the TCM was substituted, replace the original TCM .

    NO 

    Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. Check for poor connections and loose terminals between the parking actuator valve stroke sensor and the TCM. If the freeze data/on-board snapshot of this DTC is recorded, try to reproduce the failure under the same conditions with the freeze data/on-board snapshot.
