DTC C0051-54 : Steering Angle Neutral Position Learning Incomplete

DTC (VSA)
- EPS system DTCs check
-1. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.
-2. Check for EPS system DTCs with the HDS.
DTC Description DTC Freeze Frame DTC (EPS)
Are any DTCs indicated?
YES
Go to indicated DTCs troubleshooting .
NO
Go to step 2.
- DTC check
-1. Clear the DTC with the HDS.
-2. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.
-3. Test-drive the vehicle at 31 mph (50 km/h) or more.
NOTE: Drive the vehicle on the road, not on a lift.
-4. Check for DTCs with the HDS.
DTC Description DTC C0051-54 Steering Angle Neutral Position Learning Incomplete Is DTC C0051-54 indicated?
YES
The failure is duplicated. Go to step 3.
NO
Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. Refer to intermittent failures troubleshooting .
- VSA sensor neutral position memorization check
-1. Do the VSA sensor neutral position memorization .
-2. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.
-3. Test-drive the vehicle at 31 mph (50 km/h) or more.
NOTE: Drive the vehicle on the road, not on a lift.
-4. Check for DTCs with the HDS.
DTC Description DTC C0051-54 Steering Angle Neutral Position Learning Incomplete Is DTC C0051-54 indicated?
YES
Check for loose terminals and poor connections in the VSA modulator-control unit 46P connector. Check for any authorized service information related to the DTCs or symptoms you are troubleshooting. If they are OK, replace the VSA modulator-control unit .
NO
Troubleshooting is complete.
