Audio-Navigation System DTC: 2612 (2013 2014 2015)
DTC 2612 : Sub Display Diag
NOTE:
- Check the vehicle battery condition first .
- This navigation DTC sets when there is a problem (open or short) is detected between the audio-navigation unit and the audio-navigation switch panel (the Sub Display icon is red in the System Link).
- Check any official Honda service website for more service information about the navigation system.
- Before you troubleshoot, make sure to follow the General Troubleshooting Information .
- Check the connectors for poor connections or loose terminals.
- Problem verification
-1. Clear the hard error codes .
-2. Press the engine start/stop button to select the OFF mode and then select the ON mode.
-3. Check for hard error codes .
Is DTC 2612 indicated?
YES
The failure is duplicated, go to step 2.
NO
Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time.
- Determine possible failure area (DUET CONT line, audio-navigation switch panel)
-1. Press the engine start/stop button to select the OFF mode.
-2. Disconnect the following connector.
Audio-navigation switch panel 24P connector -3. Press the engine start/stop button to select the ON mode.
-4. Measure the voltage between test points 1 and 2.
Test condition ON mode Audio-navigation switch panel 24P connector: disconnected Test circuit DUET CONT Test point 1 Audio-navigation switch panel 24P connector No. 10 (PNK) Test point 2 Body ground Is there battery voltage?
YES
Replace the audio-navigation switch panel .
NO
Go to step 3.
- Open wire check (DUET CONT line)
-1. Measure the voltage between test points 1 and 2.
Test condition ON mode Audio-navigation switch panel 24P connector: disconnected Test circuit DUET CONT Test point 1 Audio-navigation unit connector E (36P) No. 35 (PNK) Test point 2 Body ground Is there battery voltage?
YES
Repair an open in the wire between the audio-navigation unit and the audio-navigation switch panel.
NO
The DUET CONT wire is not open. Go to step 4.
- Shorted wire check (DUET CONT line)
-1. Press the engine start/stop button to select the OFF mode.
-2. Disconnect the following connector.
Audio-navigation unit connector E (36P) -3. Check for continuity between test points 1 and 2.
Test condition OFF mode Audio-navigation switch panel 24P connector: disconnected Audio-navigation unit connector E (36P): disconnected Test circuit DUET CONT Test point 1 Audio-navigation unit connector E (36P) No. 35 (PNK) Test point 2 Body ground Is there continuity?
YES
Repair a short to body ground in the wire between the audio-navigation unit and the audio-navigation switch panel.
NO
