Audio-Navigation System DTC: 2612 (2013 2014 2015)

DTC 2612  : Sub Display Diag

NOTE: 

• Check the vehicle battery condition first .
• This navigation DTC sets when there is a problem (open or short) is detected between the audio-navigation unit and the audio-navigation switch panel (the Sub Display icon is red in the System Link).
• Check any official Honda service website for more service information about the navigation system.
• Before you troubleshoot, make sure to follow the General Troubleshooting Information .
• Check the connectors for poor connections or loose terminals.

1. Problem verification

   -1. Clear the hard error codes .

   -2. Press the engine start/stop button to select the OFF mode and then select the ON mode.

   -3. Check for hard error codes .

   Is DTC 2612 indicated?

   YES 

   The failure is duplicated, go to step 2.

   NO 

   Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time.

2. Determine possible failure area (DUET CONT line, audio-navigation switch panel)

   -1. Press the engine start/stop button to select the OFF mode.

   -2. Disconnect the following connector.

   Audio-navigation switch panel 24P connector

   -3. Press the engine start/stop button to select the ON mode.

   -4. Measure the voltage between test points 1 and 2.

   Test condition	ON mode
   	Audio-navigation switch panel 24P connector: disconnected
   Test circuit	DUET CONT
   Test point 1	Audio-navigation switch panel 24P connector No. 10 (PNK)
   Test point 2	Body ground

   Is there battery voltage?

   YES 

   Replace the audio-navigation switch panel .

   NO 

   Go to step 3.

3. Open wire check (DUET CONT line)

   -1. Measure the voltage between test points 1 and 2.

   Test condition	ON mode
   	Audio-navigation switch panel 24P connector: disconnected
   Test circuit	DUET CONT
   Test point 1	Audio-navigation unit connector E (36P) No. 35 (PNK)
   Test point 2	Body ground

   Is there battery voltage?

   YES 

   Repair an open in the wire between the audio-navigation unit and the audio-navigation switch panel.

   NO 

   The DUET CONT wire is not open. Go to step 4.

4. Shorted wire check (DUET CONT line)

   -1. Press the engine start/stop button to select the OFF mode.

   -2. Disconnect the following connector.

   Audio-navigation unit connector E (36P)

   -3. Check for continuity between test points 1 and 2.

   Test condition	OFF mode
   	Audio-navigation switch panel 24P connector: disconnected
   	Audio-navigation unit connector E (36P): disconnected
   Test circuit	DUET CONT
   Test point 1	Audio-navigation unit connector E (36P) No. 35 (PNK)
   Test point 2	Body ground

   Is there continuity?

   YES 

   Repair a short to body ground in the wire between the audio-navigation unit and the audio-navigation switch panel.

   NO 

   Replace the audio-navigation unit .
