Audio System Symptom Troubleshooting - Audio-navigation switch panel button illumination does not work(With Navigation) (2013 2014 2015)

Audio-navigation switch panel button illumination does not work 

NOTE: 

• Check the vehicle battery condition first .
• Check the connectors for poor connections or loose terminals.

1. Problem verification

   -1. Press the engine start/stop button to select the ON mode.

   -2. Turn the combination light switch to the parking light position.

   -3. Check if the audio-navigation switch panel buttons are illuminated.

   Are the buttons illuminated?

   YES 

   Intermittent failure, the audio-navigation unit is OK at this time.

   NO 

   The failure is duplicated, go to step 2.

2. Check for any B-CAN DTCs.Are there any BCAN DTCs stored?

   YES 

   Resolve any BCAN DTCs, then recheck.

   NO 

   Go to step 3.

3. Determine possible failure area (interior lights circuit, others)

   -1. Check if several other buttons that are not related to the audio system are illuminated.

   Are the buttons illuminated?

   YES 

   Go to step 4.

   NO 

   Troubleshoot the interior lights.

4. Open wire check (ILLUMI+ line)

   -1. Measure the voltage between test points 1 and 2.

   Test condition	ON mode
   Test circuit	ILLUMI+
   Test point 1	Audio-navigation switch panel 24P connector No. 14 (GRY)
   Test point 2	Body ground

   Is there battery voltage?

   YES 

   The ILLUMI+ wire is OK. Go to step 5.

   NO 

   Repair an open in the wire between the No. B35 (7.5 A) fuse in the under-dash fuse/relay box and the audio-navigation switch panel.

5. Open wire check (ILL-(LED) line, ILLUMI-(BULB) line)

   -1. Turn the combination light switch off.

   -2. Press the engine start/stop button to select the OFF mode.

   -3. Disconnect the following connectors.

   Audio-navigation switch panel 24P connector

   Gauge control module 32P connector

   -4. Check for continuity between test points 1 and 2.

   Test condition	OFF mode
   	Audio-navigation switch panel 24P connector: disconnected
   	Gauge control module 32P connector: disconnected
   Test circuit	ILL-(LED)

   Test point 1	Audio-navigation switch panel 24P connector No. 2 (RED)
   Test point 2	Gauge control module 32P connector No. 19 (RED)

   Test circuit	ILLUMI-(BULB)
   Test point 1	Audio-navigation switch panel 24P connector No. 1 (RED)
   Test point 2	Gauge control module 32P connector No. 20 (RED)

   Is there continuity?

   YES 

   Replace the audio-navigation switch panel .

   NO 

   Repair an open in the wire(s) between the audio-navigation switch panel and the gauge control module.
