Audio System - Audio switch panel button illumination does not work(Without Navigation)

Audio switch panel button illumination does not work 

NOTE: 

  1. Problem verification

    -1. Press the engine start/stop button to select the ON mode.

    -2. Turn the combination light switch to the parking light position.

    -3. Check if the audio unit buttons are illuminated.

    Are the buttons illuminated?

    YES 

    Intermittent failure, the audio unit is OK at this time.

    NO 

    The failure is duplicated, go to step 2.

  2. Determine possible failure area (interior lights circuit, others)

    -1. Check if several other buttons that are not related to the audio system are illuminated.

    Are the buttons illuminated?

    YES 

    Go to step 3.

    NO 

    Troubleshoot the interior lights.

  3. Open wire check (B CAN-H line, B CAN-L line)

    -1. Turn the combination light switch off.

    -2. Press the engine start/stop button to select the OFF mode.

    -3. Disconnect the following connectors.

    Audio unit connector B (20P)
    Gauge control module 32P connector

    -4. Check for continuity between test points 1 and 2.

    Test condition OFF mode
      Audio unit connector B (20P): disconnected
      Gauge control module 32P connector: disconnected
    Test circuit B CAN-H
    Test point 1 Audio unit connector B (20P) No. 13 (PNK)
    Test point 2 Gauge control module 32P connector No. 7 (PNK)
    Test circuit B CAN-L
    Test point 1 Audio unit connector B (20P) No. 3 (BLU)
    Test point 2 Gauge control module 32P connector No. 8 (BLU)

    Is there continuity?

    YES 

    The B CAN-H and the B CAN-L wires are OK. Go to step 4.

    NO 

    Repair an open in the wire(s) between the audio unit and the gauge control module.

  4. Audio unit check

    -1. Substitute a known-good audio switch panel .

    -2. Reconnect all the connectors, and recheck.

    Does the symptom go away?

    YES 

    Replace the original audio switch panel.

    NO 

    Replace the audio unit .
