Audio System - Audio remote switch does not work properly (audio switch panel buttons work) (Without Navigation)

Audio remote switch does not work properly (audio switch panel buttons work) 

NOTE: 

  1. Problem verification

    -1. Press the engine start/stop button to select the ON mode.

    -2. Turn on the audio unit, and using the audio remote switch buttons, check if the audio system operates properly.

    Is the audio system operation OK?

    YES 

    Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time.

    NO 

    The failure is duplicated, go to step 2.

  2. Determine possible failure area (audio remote-HFL switch, others)

    -1. Press the engine start/stop button to select the OFF mode.

    -2. Do the Audio Remote Switch Test .

    Is the audio remote switch OK?

    YES 

    Go to step 3.

    NO 

    Replace the audio remote-HFL switch .

  3. Shorted wire check (AUDIO REMOTE SW line)

    -1. Disconnect the following connector.

    NOTE:  Eject the disc before disconnecting the audio unit to prevent damaging the CD player's load mechanism.

    Audio unit connector A (24P)

    -2. Check for continuity between test points 1 and 2.

    Test condition OFF mode
      Audio remote-HFL switch 12P connector: disconnected
      Audio unit connector A (24P): disconnected
    Test circuit AUDIO REMOTE SW
    Test point 1 Audio unit connector A (24P) No. 22 (PNK)
    Test point 2 Body ground

    Is there continuity?

    YES 

    Repair a short to body ground in the wire between the audio unit and the audio remote switch. If the wire is OK, replace the cable reel .

    NO 

    The AUDIO REMOTE SW wire is not shorted to ground. Go to step 4.

  4. Open wire check (AUDIO REMOTE SW line, REMOTE SW GND line)

    -1. Reconnect the audio remote-HFL switch 12P connector , and measure the resistance between test points 1 and 2 as specified in the table.

    Test condition OFF mode
      Audio unit connector A (24P): disconnected
    Test circuit AUDIO REMOTE SW, REMOTE SW GND
    Test point 1 Audio unit connector A (24P) No. 22 (PNK)
    Test point 2 Audio unit connector A (24P) No. 11 (BRN)

    AUDIO REMOTE SWITCH TABLE 

    Button held down VOL DOWN VOL UP CH (-) CH (+) MODE (No button pressed)
    Resistance about 99 ' about 357 ' about 775 ' about 1.7 kΩ about 3.7 kΩ about 10 kΩ

    Is the resistance OK?

    YES 

    Replace the audio unit .

    NO 

    Repair an open in the wire(s) between the audio unit and the audio remote switch. If the wires are OK, replace the cable reel .
