Exterior Lights System Description - Overview (2014 2015 2016 2017)
The exterior lights system consists of the exterior lights, the turn signal lights, the automatic lighting system, and the daytime running lights system.
Headlights
The LED headlight system consists of the LED lights, the LED control units, the MICU, the combination light switch, the relay control module, and the gauge control module for lighting indicators.
In the event, the LED headlights do not turn on, warning indicator in the gauge control module will be illuminated, and the warning will be displayed on the multi-information display (MID).
Daytime Running Lights
The daytime running lights system consists of the MICU, the relay control module, the left and right headlight low beams, and the parking brake switch. The daytime running lights operate with the vehicle in ON mode, the headlights off (headlight switch OFF or AUTO position), and the parking brake released.
Automatic Lighting System
The automatic lighting system consists of the MICU, the relay control module, the automatic lighting/rain sensor, the combination light switch, and the gauge control module for lighting the light control indicators. The system automatically controls the lighting operation. The automatic lighting function detects the luminance in the surroundings and automatically control ON/OFF of lighting operation by B-CAN according to the luminance.
