Exterior Lights - LED headlight does not go off (2016 2017 2018)

LED headlight does not go off 

1. Combination light switch OFF position check

   -1. Connect the HDS to the data link connector (DLC) .

   -2. Turn the combination light switch OFF.

   -3. Check the parameter(s) below with the HDS.

   Signal	Threshold		Current conditions
   	Values	Unit	Values	Unit
   Headlight Switch (HEADLIGHT)	OFF

   Is data list values correct?

   YES 

   Go to step 4.

   NO 

   Go to step 2.

2. Combination light switch check

   -1. Press the engine start/stop button to select the OFF mode.

   -2. Do the combination light switch test .

   Is the switch OK?

   YES 

   Go to step 3.

   NO 

   Replace the combination light switch .

3. Shorted wire check (H/L ON SW line)

   -1. Disconnect the following connectors.

   Under-dash fuse/relay box connector T (20P)

   Automatic lighting control unit/sensor 7P connector*1

   Automatic lighting/rain sensor 5P connector*2

   *1: Without automatic wiper*2: With automatic wiper

   -2. Check for continuity between test points 1 and 2.

   Test condition	OFF mode* Combination light switch 12P connector: disconnected Under-dash fuse/relay box connector T (20P): disconnected Automatic lighting control unit/sensor 7P connector: disconnected Automatic lighting/rain sensor 5P connector: disconnected *2
   Test circuit	H/L ON SW
   Test point 1	Combination light switch 12P connector No. 7 (PNK)
   Test point 2	Body ground

   *1: Without automatic wiper*2: With automatic wiper

   Is there continuity?

   YES 

   Repair a short to ground in the wire.

   NO 

   The H/L ON SW wire is OK. Faulty MICU; replace the under-dash fuse/relay box .

4. Relay circuit board check

   -1. Do the relay circuit board test .

   Is the relay circuit board OK?

   YES 

   Repair a short to power in the wire.

   NO 

   Replace the relay circuit board.
