TPMS indicator does not go off, and no DTCs are stored
NOTE: If the TPMS control unit was replaced, the TPMS indicator will be on until all four tire pressure sensor ID codes are learned.
- All DTCs check except TPMS system
-1. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.
-2. Do the All DTCs check with the HDS.
All DTCs
Are there DTCs indicated?
YES
Do the DTC troubleshooting.
NO
Go to step 2.
- Fuse check 1
-1. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.
-2. Check the following fuse.
Fuse No. E14 (7.5 A) Location Passenger's under-dash fuse/relay box Is the fuse OK?
YES
The fuse is OK. Reinstall the fuse, then go to step 3.
NO
Replace the fuse. If the fuse blows again, repair the short to ground on the No. E14 (7.5 A) fuse circuit.
- Fuse check 2
-1. Check the following fuse.
Fuse No. D10 (7.5 A) Location Driver's under-dash fuse/relay box Is the fuse OK?
YES
The fuse is OK. Reinstall the fuse, then go to step 4.
NO
Replace the fuse. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode, then the ON mode. If the fuse blows again, repair the short to ground on the No. D10 (7.5 A) fuse circuit.
- Gauge control module operation check
-1. Do the gauge control module self-diagnostic function .
Is the gauge control module OK?
YES
Go to step 5.
NO
- Open wire check (+B AS ECU line)
-1. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.
-2. Disconnect the following connector.
TPMS control unit 20P connector -3. Measure the voltage between test points 1 and 2.
Test condition Vehicle OFF (LOCK) mode TPMS control unit 20P connector: disconnected Test circuit +B AS ECU Test point 1 TPMS control unit 20P connector No. 1 (LT GRN) Test point 2 Body ground Is there battery voltage?
YES
The +B AS ECU wire is OK. Go to step 6.
NO
Repair an open in the wire between the TPMS control unit and the No. E14 (7.5 A) fuse in the passenger's under-dash fuse/relay box.
- Open wire check (IG1 DR1 line)
-1. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.
-2. Measure the voltage between test points 1 and 2.
Test condition Vehicle ON mode TPMS control unit 20P connector: disconnected Test circuit IG1 DR1 Test point 1 TPMS control unit 20P connector No. 3 (YEL) Test point 2 Body ground Is there battery voltage?
YES
The IG1 DR1 wire is OK. Go to step 7.
NO
Repair an open in the wire between the TPMS control unit and the No. D10 (7.5 A) fuse in the driver's under-dash fuse/relay box.
- Open wire check (GND line)
-1. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.
-2. Reconnect the following connector.
TPMS control unit 20P connector -3. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.
-4. Measure the voltage between test points 1 and 2.
Test condition Vehicle ON mode Test circuit GND Test point 1 TPMS control unit 20P connector No. 8 (BLK) Test point 2 Body ground Is there 0.1 V or more?
YES
Repair an open or high resistance in the wire between the TPMS control unit and body ground (G501).
NO
The GND wire is OK. Go to step 8.
- F-CAN circuit communication check
-1. Select the FUNCTION TEST in the CAN gateway with the HDS, then select the F-CAN Bus Connected Unit Check.

Gauge control module is Not Available
Go to step 9.
TPMS control unit is Not Available
Go to step 10.
TPMS control unit and gauge control module are Detected
- Open wire check (F-CAN A_L, F-CAN A_H lines)
-1. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.
-2. Disconnect the following connectors.
CAN gateway 24P connector Gauge control module connector A (32P) -3. Check for continuity between test points 1 and 2.
Test condition Vehicle OFF (LOCK) mode CAN gateway 24P connector: disconnected Gauge control module connector A (32P): disconnected Test circuit F-CAN A_L Test point 1 CAN gateway 24P connector No. 15 (PNK) Test point 2 Gauge control module connector A (32P) No. 28 (PNK) Test circuit F-CAN A_H Test point 1 CAN gateway 24P connector No. 14 (BLU) Test point 2 Gauge control module connector A (32P) No. 27 (BLU) Is there continuity?
YES
Check for loose terminals in the CAN gateway 24P connector and the gauge control module connector A (32P). If they are OK, substitute a known-good gauge control module , then retest. If the indicators come on then go off after substitution, replace the original gauge control module .
NO
Repair an open in the wire between the gauge control module and the CAN gateway.
- Open wire check (F-CAN C_L, F-CAN C_H lines)
-1. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.
-2. Disconnect the following connectors.
CAN gateway 24P connector TPMS control unit 20P connector -3. Check for continuity between test points 1 and 2.

YES
Check for loose terminals in the CAN gateway 24P connector and the TPMS control unit 20P connector. If they are OK, Replace the TPMS control unit .
NO
Repair an open in the wire between the TPMS control unit and the CAN gateway.
