Resetting The Parking And Back-Up Sensor Control Unit (2018-19): Procedure

Parking and Back-Up Sensor Control Unit - Reset
Reset the parking and back-up sensor control unit after doing any of the following actions:
- When you replace the parking and back-up sensor.
- When you change the parking and back-up sensor mounting location from the original location.
NOTE:
Before performing the resetting procedure, make sure that all of the parking and back-up sensors are connected.

Resetting Procedure

1. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode

2. Press the parking and back-up sensor switch 10 times, within 10 seconds.

NOTE:
Parking and back-up sensor switch indicator blinks

3. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode

4. Press and hold the parking and back-up sensor switch

5. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode

6. Wait about 10 seconds.

NOTE:
When resetting the parking and back-up sensor control unit complete successfully, the buzzer sounds for 2 seconds.

7. Press the parking and back-up sensor switch

8. Make sure that the system works normally.
