DTC B2800-49, B2801-49, U3000-49

DTC B2800-49, B2801-49, U3000-49  : Internal Failure of the SRS Unit

NOTE: Before doing this troubleshooting procedure, find out if the vehicle was in a collision. If so, verify that all the required components were replaced with new components of the correct part number, and that they were properly installed .
• Before troubleshooting any of these DTCs, check the battery/system voltage and battery cable connections - Refer to: Battery Test (2016 2017 2018 2019 2020) or Battery Test (2014 2015) . If the voltage is low, repair the charging system, test and charge the battery, or replace the battery before troubleshooting the SRS. If the battery/system voltage is OK, ask the client if the battery ever went dead or if the engine was started and run with the battery in a low state of charge. A dead battery may trigger one or more of these DTCs.
• Before doing this troubleshooting procedure, review SRS Precautions and Procedures and General Troubleshooting Information .
• Before replacing the SRS unit, check the SRS unit software version with the HDS. If the software version is not the latest, update the SRS unit software , and retest.

DTC (SRS)

1. Problem verification

   -1. Clear the DTCs with the HDS.

   - 2. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode, then wait for 10 seconds.

   - 3. Check for DTCs with the HDS.

   DTC Description	DTC
   B2800-49 Internal failure of the SRS unit
   B2801-49 Internal failure of the SRS unit
   U3000-49 Internal failure of the SRS unit

   Is DTC B2800-49, B2801-49, or U3000-49 indicated?

   YES 

   The failure is duplicated. Replace the SRS unit - Refer to: SRS Unit Removal and Installation .

   NO 

   Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. Go to Troubleshooting Intermittent Failures . If another DTC is indicated, troubleshoot the DTC.
