Removal and Installation

SRS components are located in this area. Review the SRS component locations - Refer to: SRS Component Location Index (2017 2018 2019 2020) , or SRS Component Location Index (2014 2015 2016) and the precautions and procedures before doing repairs or service.

1. Steering Wheel - Remove
2. Steering Wheel Body Cover - Remove

3. Paddle Shifter - (Downshift Switch)/Paddle Shifter + (Upshift Switch) - Remove

   1. Disconnect the paddle shifter connectors. 2. Remove the paddle shifter (A).

4. Steering Commander Switch Assembly - Remove

   1. Disconnect these connectors: Steering commander switch assembly connectors LKAS/DISTANCE switch connector Heated steering wheel switch connector Heated steering wheel control unit connector 2. Remove the steering commander switch assembly (A).

5. LKAS/DISTANCE Switch - Remove

   1. Remove the cover (A). 2. Remove the set plate (B). 3. Remove the LKAS/DISTANCE switch (C).

6. Heated Steering Wheel Switch - Remove

   1. Remove the cover (A). 2. Remove the set plate (B). 3. Remove the heated steering wheel switch (C).

7. Heated Steering Wheel Control Unit - Remove

8. All Removed Parts - Install

   1. Install the parts in the reverse order of removal.
