DTC U0100  : Gauge control module lost communication with ENG/AT

U0100 Gauge control module lost communication with ENG/AT  

DTC (Gauge Control Module)

NOTE: 

  1. Problem verification

    - 1. Clear the DTCs with the HDS.

    - 2. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode and then the ON mode.

    - 3. Wait for at least 6 seconds.

    - 4. Check for DTCs with the HDS.

    DTC Description DTC
    U0100 Gauge control module lost communication with ENG/AT  

    Is DTC U0100 indicated?

    YES 

    Go to step 2.

    NO 

    Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. Check for loose or poor connections.

  2. Open wire check (F-CAN A lines)

    - 1. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.

    - 2. Jump the SCS line with the HDS.

    SCS short

    - 3. Disconnect the following connectors.

    PCM connector A (51P) - Refer to:
    PCM Removal and Installation (2016 2017 2018 2019 2020)
    Gauge control module connector A (32P)

    - 4. Check for continuity between test points 1 and 2 respectively.

    Test condition Vehicle OFF (LOCK) mode
    PCM connector A (51P): disconnected
    Gauge control module connector A (32P): disconnected
    Test circuit F-CAN A_H
    Test point 1 Gauge control module connector A (32P) No. 27 (WHT)
    Test point 2 PCM connector A (51P) No. 9 (WHT)
    Test circuit F-CAN A_L
    Test point 1 Gauge control module connector A (32P) No. 28 (BRN)
    Test point 2 PCM connector A (51P) No. 10 (BRN)

    Is there continuity?

    YES 

    The F-CAN A wires are OK. Replace the gauge control module .

    NO 

    An open or poor connection in the F-CAN A wires between the PCM and the gauge control module.
