Forward Collision Warning (FCW) Symptom Troubleshooting - FCW indicator does not go off (LDW indicator is ok)

NOTE:

The FCW indicator come on when the OFF is selected from the FORWARD COLLISION WARNING DISTANCE in the DRIVER ASSIST SYSTEM SETUP.

DTC check

-1. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.

- 2. Check for DTCs with the HDS.

DTC Description	DTC

Are any DTCs indicated?

YES

Go to the indicated DTC troubleshooting.

NO

Go to step 2.

Problem verification
-1. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode, then wait for at least 10 seconds.

- 2. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.

- 3. Check the FCW indicator.

Does the FCW indicator come on for about 6 seconds, then go off?

YES

Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time.

NO

Go to step 3.
Vehicle settings check
-1. Check the FORWARD COLLISION WARNING DISTANCE from the DRIVER ASSIST SYSTEM SETUP in the center display.

Does it indicate off?

YES

The system is OK at this time. Select the FORWARD COLLISION WARNING DISTANCE from the DRIVER ASSIST SYSTEM SETUP in the MID, and enter the LONG, NORMAL, or SHORT, then retest.

NO

Go to the gauge control module self-diagnostic function - Refer to: Gauges Self-Diagnostic Function (2014 2015), or Gauges Self-Diagnostic Function (2016), or Gauges Self-Diagnostic Function (2017 2018 2019 2020) .
