Exterior Lights System Description - Overview (2017 2018)

The exterior lights system consists of the exterior lights, the fog lights, the turn signal lights, the automatic lighting system, and the daytime running lights system.

Headlights 

Some models come equipped with the LED headlight system. The LED headlight system consists of the LED lights, the LED control units, the MICU, the combination light switch, and the gauge control module. In the event, the LED headlights do not turn on, the warning indicators in the gauge control module will be illuminated, and the warning will be displayed on the multi-information display (MID).

Fog Lights 

The fog light system consists of the fog lights, the MICU, the combination light switch, and the gauge control module for fog light indicator.

Daytime Running Lights 

The daytime running lights system consists of the MICU, the left and right daytime running lights. The daytime running lights operate with the vehicle in ON mode, the headlights off (headlight switch OFF or AUTO position), and the parking brake released.

Automatic Lighting System 

The automatic lighting system consists of the MICU, the automatic lighting control unit-sensor, the automatic lighting/rain sensor, the combination light switch, and the light control indicator in the gauge control module. The automatic lighting function detects luminance of the surroundings and automatically control ON/OFF of the front parking lights, the side marker lights, the taillights, and the headlights by the B-CAN according to the luminance.
