Audio-Navigation System DTC: 2710 (2019 2020 2021 2022)
DTC 2710 : USB Cable Diag
NOTE:
- Check the vehicle battery condition first .
- This navigation DTC sets when a problem is detected in the USB circuit (the USB icon is red in the System Links).
- Check any official Honda service website for more service information about the navigation system.
- Before you troubleshoot, make sure to follow the General Troubleshooting Information .
- Check the connectors for poor connections or loose terminals.
- Problem verification
-1. Clear the hard error codes .
-2. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.
-3. Connect the USB device to the USB port.
-4. Check for hard error codes .
Is DTC 2710 indicated?
YES
The failure is duplicated, go to step 2.
NO
Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time.
- USB device check
-1. Clear the hard error codes .
-2. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.
-3. Disconnect the USB device, then connect a known-good USB device to the USB port.
-4. Check for hard error codes .
Is DTC 2710 indicated?
YES
Go to step 3.
NO
Original USB device is faulty.
- Open wire check (USB OTG lines)
-1. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.
-2. Disconnect the following connector.
CarPlay and Android Auto unit connector C (5P) -3. Check for continuity between test points 1 and 2.
Test condition Vehicle OFF (LOCK) mode CarPlay and Android Auto unit connector C (5P): disconnected Test circuit Test point 1:CarPlay and Android Auto unit connector C (5P) USB port 5P connector(female terminals): USB OTG VBUS No. 2 No. 1 USB OTG DATA+ No. 3 No. 3 USB OTG DATA- No. 4 No. 2 USB OTG GND No. 1 No. 4 Is there continuity?
YES
The USB OTG wires are OK. Go to step 4.
NO
There is an open in the wire(s). Replace the affected shielded harness.
- Open wire check (+B AUDIO(ODMD) line)
-1. Disconnect the following connector.
CarPlay and Android Auto unit connector A (20P) -2. Measure the voltage between test points 1 and 2.
Test condition Vehicle OFF (LOCK) mode CarPlay and Android Auto unit connector A (20P): disconnected CarPlay and Android Auto unit connector C (5P): disconnected Test point 1 CarPlay and Android Auto unit connector A (20P) No. 10 Test point 2 Body ground Is there battery voltage?
YES
The +B AUDIO(ODMD) wire is OK. Go to step 5.
NO
Repair an open in the wire.
- Open wire check (GND line)
-1. Check for continuity between test points 1 and 2.
Test condition Vehicle OFF (LOCK) mode CarPlay and Android Auto unit connector A (20P): disconnected CarPlay and Android Auto unit connector C (5P): disconnected Test point 1 CarPlay and Android Auto unit connector A (20P) No. 9 Test point 2 Body ground Is there continuity?
YES
The GND wire is OK. Go to step 6.
NO
Repair an open in the wire or poor ground (G504).
- Open wire check (SWD+B line)
-1. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.
-2. Measure the voltage between test points 1 and 2.
Test condition Vehicle ON mode CarPlay and Android Auto unit connector A (20P): disconnected CarPlay and Android Auto unit connector C (5P): disconnected Test point 1 CarPlay and Android Auto unit connector A (20P) No. 8 Test point 2 Body ground Is there battery voltage?
YES
The SWD+B wire is OK. Go to step 7.
NO
Repair an open in the wire.
- Open wire check (CP/AA USB lines)
-1. Disconnect the following connectors.
Audio-navigation unit connector K (5P) CarPlay and Android Auto unit connector D (5P) -2. Check for continuity between test points 1 and 2.
Test condition Vehicle OFF (LOCK) mode Audio-navigation unit connector K (5P): disconnected CarPlay and Android Auto unit connector A (20P): disconnected CarPlay and Android Auto unit connector C (5P): disconnected CarPlay and Android Auto unit connector D (5P): disconnected Test point 1:Audio-navigation unit connector K (5P) Test point 1:CarPlay and Android Auto unit connector D (5P) No. 1 No. 1 No. 3 No. 3 No. 4 No. 4 Is there continuity?
YES
Replace the CarPlay and Android Auto unit .
NO
There is an open in the wire(s). Replace the affected shielded harness.
