Audio System - Error message: Check Antenna is displayed (2013 2014 2015)

Error message: Check Antenna is displayed 

NOTE: 

• Check the vehicle battery condition first .
• Check XM radio reception in an open area. Poor reception/interference can be caused by tall buildings, mountains, or high-voltage power lines.
• Check the connectors for poor connections or loose terminals.

1. Problem verification

   -1. Park the vehicle outside with a clear view of the southern horizon.

   -2. Press the engine start/stop button to select the ON mode.

   -3. Turn on the audio system, and press the XM button to select the XM radio.

   Is Check Antenna displayed?

   YES 

   The failure is duplicated, go to step 2.

   NO 

   Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time.

2. Determine possible failure area (XM antenna, others)

   -1. Press the engine start/stop button to select the OFF mode.

   -2. Substitute a known-good AM/FM/XM antenna .

   -3. Press the engine start/stop button to select the ON mode.

   -4. Turn on the audio system, and press the XM button to select the XM radio.

   Is Check Antenna displayed?

   YES 

   Go to step 3.

   NO 

   Replace the original AM/FM/XM antenna.

3. AcuraLink control unit (XM receiver) check

   -1. Press the engine start/stop button to select the OFF mode.

   -2. Substitute a known-good AcuraLink control unit (XM receiver), and recheck.

   Does the symptom go away?

   NO 

   Replace the original XM antenna lead.

   YES: USA models with navigation

   Replace the AcuraLink control unit (XM receiver) .

   YES: Except USA models with navigation

   Replace the XM receiver .
