Center Console Panel Removal/Installation

KTC Trim Tool Set SOJATP2014*

NOTE:
- Put on gloves to protect your hands.
- Take care not to scratch the front seat, the dashboard, or the related parts.
- Use the appropriate tool from the KTC trim tool set to avoid damage when removing components.
- M/T: Lower the shift lever boot (B) to release the hooks (C) from the spacer A. Loosen the spacer A with a 17 mm wrench, then remove the shift knob (D) and the spacer A.
- Remove the center console panel (A).
- Open the center pocket lids (B).
- Gently pull up the front edge of the panel by hand to make a gap, and pry the panel with the appropriate trim tool to detach the front clips (C, D).
- Hook the edge of the panel beside the parking brake lever up with the appropriate trim tool to detach the clip (E).
- Pull up the panel to detach the clips (F) along the edge of the panel.
- Disconnect the driver's seat heater switch connector (G) and the front passenger's seat heater switch connector (H).
- Remove the screws (A, B), then separate the front panel (C), the rear panel (D), and the beverage holder (E).

A/T
- M/T: Remove the screws (F), then remove the shift lever boot (G).
- Install the console panel in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:
- If the clips are damaged or stress-whitened, replace them with new ones.
- Make sure each connector is plugged in properly.
- Push the clips and the hook into place securely.
- M/T: Install the shift knob in the numbered sequence.
- Turn the spacer A until the spacer contacts with shaft (B).
- Turn the shift knob (C) until shift knob contacts with spacer A.
- Tighten the spacer A when the shift pattern is properly aligned, by turning back knob (amount of turning back: 360° MAX).
