Trim Removal/Installation - Cargo Area

Special Tools Required 

KTC Trim Tool Set SOJATP2014*

*Available through the Acura Tool and Equipment Program; call 888-424-6857

NOTE:
  • Put on gloves to protect your hands.
  • Take care not to bend or scratch the trim and panels.
  • Use the appropriate tool from the KTC trim tool set to avoid damage when removing components.
  1. Remove the tonneau cover (see step  1 on ).
  2. Fold down both rear seat-backs.
  3. Release the Velcro fasteners (A) from both rear seat-backs (B). Pull back the Velcro fasteners, then attach them on the rear floor mat (C) as shown. Pull back the front area of the rear floor lid (D) to detach the clips, then turn the front section upside down to release the hooks (E) from both front lid supports (F).

  4. Remove the rear floor lid (A).

  5. Remove the rear floor bucket (A).

  6. Remove the tool box spacer (A).

  7. Remove the tailgate weatherstrip near the rear trim panel as needed (see TAILGATE WEATHERSTRIP REPLACEMENT ).
  8. Detach the clips (A, B), and release the hooks (C) and the tabs (D) from the cargo area side trim panels (E) by pulling the rear trim panel (F) up, then remove it.

  9. If necessary, remove the clips, then remove the rear under floor cover (A).

  10. Install the trim panel in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:
    • If the clips are damaged or stress-whitened, replace them with new ones.
    • Push the clips and the hooks into place securely.
