DTC P2711 : Unexpected Mechanical Gear Disengagement

- This code can be caused if the parking lock is released by using the tool or parking release lever and the vehicle is turned to the ON mode.

- Problem verification
-1. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.
- 2. Clear the DTC with the HDS.
- 3. Start the engine in P position/mode while pressing the brake pedal.
- 4. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode, and wait for at least 10 seconds.
- 5. Start the engine in P position/mode while pressing the brake pedal again and wait for at least 1 second.
- 6. Check for Pending or Confirmed DTCs with the HDS.

YES
The failure is duplicated. Replace the sensor unit (2016 2017 2018 2019 2020) .
NO
Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. If the freeze data/on-board snapshot of this DTC is recorded, try to reproduce the failure under the same conditions with the freeze data/on-board snapshot.
