DTC P0936 : Hydraulic Pressure Sensor Circuit Intermittent

- This code is caused by an electrical circuit problem and cannot be caused by a mechanical problem in the transmission.

DTC (A/T)
- Problem verification
-1. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.
- 2. Clear the DTC with the HDS.
- 3. Test-drive the vehicle for several minutes under the same conditions as those indicated by the freeze data.
- 4. Check for Pending or Confirmed DTCs with the HDS.

YES
The failure is duplicated. Replace the transmission - Refer to: Automatic Transmission Removal and Installation (2016 2017 2018 2019 2020), or Automatic Transmission Removal and Installation (2014 2015) or substitute a known-good TCM , then recheck. If this DTC goes away and the TCM was updated, troubleshooting is complete. If this DTC goes away and the TCM was substituted, replace the original TCM .
NO
Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. Check for poor connections and loose terminals at the TCM. If the freeze data/on-board snapshot of this DTC is recorded, try to reproduce the failure under the same conditions with the freeze data/on-board snapshot.
